A New Year's Message From Review to Be Named
New Year's Message
Jordan
Happy New Year's from all of us at Review to Be Named. As we shake off the shame of 2012, pop some advil, and look forward (through sunglasses, I'm assuming) to what is to come, I wanted to take a moment to bring you up to speed on some of the things you can look forward to in the coming months. Some of the features we hope to bring you in the new year are still in their nascent stages and too early to pitch. But we have some new features and some interesting experiments we are ready to discuss, and some returning favorites you can look forward to seeing back on the site. For example:

-Random Pop Culture Top Ten List and Random Pop Culture Question of the Week are returning (once again) to provide a space for the staff as a whole to sound off on the realm of pop culture as a whole. The two features will run on alternating Saturdays starting this weekend.

-Darren Vs. Top of the Pops will continue to document our Music Editor as he does battle with whatever the masses want to throw at him.

-Modest Proposals will continue to provide a space for the staff to throw out whatever weird theory, silly idea, or semi-cogent thought on pop culture we would like.

-The Review to be Named Podcast will keep providing a weekly dose of pop culture anarchy every Tuesday. Yes, there will be more Happy Hour Podcasts. No, I cannot promise Sam will be clothed during them.

-Our twitter presence (@Reviewtobenamed) will be more active, including a new, experimental foray into live-tweeting which you will hear more about if you watch that space.

-Top of the Flagpole will continue to keep you abreast of the biggest developments in video games, as only Jhaan can (I'm guessing there will be a lot of exclamation points).

-My Year in Lists: Volume II will be running on Fridays throughout the year, following my attempts to break into three genres I have always avoided: hip hop, jazz, and country.

You can also expect our continuing (and oft expanding) coverage of Television, Film, Comics, and Games, which we pledge will continue to be as lacking in insight, integrity, and ingenuity as ever. With our TV staff larger than ever before and our Music staff rededicated to expanding coverage under the leadership of Music Editor Darren, things should be busy around these parts. There's pop culture happening out there, and somebody has to voice opinions about it to the sickening void that is the internet (no one else is doing that, right?).

The last few years have been full of growth and surprises here at Review to Be Named, but I feel confident that 2013 is going to be a big year for the website, and I hope you all enjoy what we have in store. We will have some new features, some returning ones, our continuing coverage and our constant commitment to keeping you abreast of all the best pop culture has to offer you. With all of that out of the way, I just want to take a moment to thank any of you who read us regularly and wish you all a happy, prosperous new year filled with all of the personal and pop cultural delights you could ever wish for. I'm confident it will be a great one.

-Jordan
