Welcome to the New Review To Be Named
Welcome To The New Review To Be Named
Jordan
Welcome to the new and improved Review To Be Named. You may have noticed things look a little different around here. That’s because we are in the process of rolling out a whole new look and functionality to make sure the site better suits your needs. You’ll have to pardon our dust over the next few weeks as we discover and work out kinks, but we hope you like the new look, and we’d love to hear your thoughts on it, and on other changes we can make to better serve you as a pop culture consumer.

I also wanted to take a moment to bring all of you up to speed on some things you can look forward to in the months to come. As always, some of the features we hope to bring you in the months to come are still in their nascent stages and too early to pitch. But we have some new and returning features we wanted to bring to your attention:

-Random Pop Culture Question of the Week will be returning, now as a weekly feature running every Saturday, to provide a space for the staff as a whole to sound off on the realm of pop culture in its entirety.

-Shaolin Sundays will be diving into the world of kung-fu films every other Sunday (starting today!), following my efforts to brush up on the genre that inspired so many childhood obsessions.

-Riding the Wave will explore one of the most cinematically rich eras in the history of the medium: The French New Wave. Strap yourselves in for a bumpy ride every other Sunday, launching September 8th.

-Instant Gratification, Megan Peters’ journey through the highs and lows of Netflix’s Watch Instantly library, will continue to provide insight into what to watch, and what to avoid, every other Monday.

-Graveyard Shift will keep right on terrifying you, as Megan Peters takes a look at great horror films both new and old every other Monday.

-Modest Proposals will continue to provide a space for the staff to throw out any weird theories, silly ideas, or semi-cogent thoughts on pop culture we have sitting around in our heads.

-The Review To Be Named Podcast will move into its second year of providing your weekly dose of pop culture anarchy. There will be space lawns. There will be Happy Hour Podcasts. Sam and Chris may open up a Bed and Breakfast in Vermont.

You can also expect our continuing (and oft expanding) coverage of Television, Film, Comics, and Games, which we pledge will continue to be as lacking in insight, integrity, and ingenuity as ever. With our TV staff larger than ever before and our Music staff rededicated to expanding coverage under the leadership of Music Editor Darren, things should be busy around these parts. There's pop culture happening out there, and somebody has to voice opinions about it to the sickening void that is the internet (no one else is doing that, right?).

Review To Be Named is a passion project for all of us involved, and over the last several years if has grown more than I ever imagined. I hope you all enjoy the new changes We will have some new features, some returning ones, our continuing coverage and our constant commitment to keeping you abreast of all the best pop culture has to offer you. With all of that out of the way, I just want to take a moment to thank any of you who read us regularly, and any of you who are just finding your way to the site for the first time. We couldn’t do this without you guys (ok, we could, but it would be a lot sadder), and we hope you enjoy reading us as much as we enjoy writing for you. Happy watching!
